'Tis the season for mulled wine.
Toast 2 teaspoons of ground ginger, 8 cloves (or 8 allspice berries), 2 star anise, and 4 sticks of cinnamon in a sauce pot. After 2-5 minutes, add in wine. Cover and let simmer for half an hour. (Make sure to cover the pot! You don’t want the liquid to evaporate.)
Add in one sliced up orange (rind optional — can also use a quarter cup of orange juice), a quarter cup of brandy, and a quarter cup of honey. Cover and allow to simmer for another 15-30 minutes.
Adjust for personal taste by adding more brandy/honey/etc. and serve.
Tastes best near a warm fire :)

- Fruit of your choosing
- Semi-sweet chocolate
- Heavy whipping cream
- Chopped walnuts (or sprinkles or shaved almonds or mORE CHOCOLATE OH MY GOD WHY DIDN’T I THINK OF THIS SOONER I AM AN IDIOT)
